I’m Roman Stotland, founder of EdTech Panda.
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of education, technology, innovation, and organizational strategy. My journey has taken me from hands-on technical support and systems integration to leadership roles focused on helping organizations navigate emerging technologies thoughtfully and strategically.
Most recently, I served as Director of Technology Integrations at Michigan Virtual, where I worked across teams and initiatives to bridge educational needs with rapidly evolving technologies, including AI and immersive learning environments.
My background spans instructional technology, AI implementation, systems thinking, professional learning, technical infrastructure, and organizational change. I’ve worked with educators, school leaders, nonprofits, and teams exploring how technology can support learning, communication, and adaptability in meaningful ways.
I’m especially interested in helping organizations move beyond hype and fear toward thoughtful experimentation, sustainable innovation, and human-centered approaches to change.
I also still occasionally dance and sing while I work. It’s unconventional, but I’ve found that curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to rethink assumptions are often what drive the most meaningful innovation.

Education organizations are being asked to navigate rapid technological change while still supporting learners, educators, teams, and communities in meaningful ways.
AI is accelerating that pressure, but the biggest organizational challenges are rarely just technical.
They involve communication, trust, adaptability, leadership, systems thinking, and helping people make sense of uncertainty together.
I believe innovation works best when it is thoughtful, human-centered, and connected to real organizational needs rather than hype or trend cycles.
That’s the work I care most about.
